ECHA is updating its dossier submission and communication tool, REACH-IT. The updated version (version 3.3) will be introduced on 7 November 2017.
The update this time mainly builds up ECHA’s capacity to deal with the incoming dossiers for the 31 May 2018 deadline and the submission of registration dossiers is not affected.
Version 3.3 will include some new features:
- More transparency in joint submissions: All members of the joint submission will be able to have an overview of the data requirements (REACH Annexes VI-X) associated to each member’s last successful submission and an indication if the lead or members have opted out from the information submitted jointly in the lead dossier. This information will be on the Joint Submission page of REACH-IT;
- New online submission for downstream user notifications of authorised uses (Art. 66 of REACH) and reports for unsupported uses (Art. 38(1) of REACH), replacing the web form; and
- New online submission for substance in articles notifications (Art. 7(2) of REACH), replacing the web form.
Besides, to prepare for the update, the tool will be closed from 1 November and will reopen on 7 November.
