Introduction
On August 24, 2020, India issued the fifth draft of the Chemicals (Management and Safety) Regulations (CMSR). CMSR aims to regulate substances, substances in mixtures, substances in articles and intermediates which are produced, imported or placed on the market in India, and this regulation is expected to come into effect in early 2021. Indian manufacturers, importers and overseas manufacturers will all be affected by CMSR and their related responsibilities and obligations will be expanded.
