CIRS Launched Guidance on Regulatory Compliance of Personal Care Products in China 2019

Background

With the institutional reform, State Administration for Industry and Commerce, State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, China Food and Drug Administration were combined into State Administration of Markets on 21st Mar 2018. China Food and Drug Administration is changed into National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) which is the national bureau administered by the State Administration of Markets as a deputy ministerial level. NMPA announced the Notice no.88. 2018 regarding implementing the management of record-keeping of imported non-special use cosmetics nationwide on 9th Nov 2018. It was mentioned that the approval system and record-keeping management in the pilot free trade zones was changed into national unified record-keeping system for the first import of non-special use cosmetics since 10th Nov, 2018.
