On February 10, 2023, China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) issued five food additives for public comment, including:
- two new food enzymes;
- one new food nutrition enhancer;
- one food additive with expanded scope; and
- one food nutrition enhancer with expanded scope and dosage.
The deadline for public comments is March 8, 2023.
Details are as follows:
1. New food enzymes (2 types)

Range of Application & Maximum Usage Level: Shall comply with the requirements of the draft for Opinions on 2’ -FL (food nutrition enhancer) (except for the producing strain used in the production of 2’ -FL in Annex C) issued by CFSA. Its producing strain information is shown as follows:
